Unser rotarischer Freund Albrecht Doerr hatte zunächst den Kontakt zu »seinem« Club in Paarl in Südafrika hergestellt und Ende September hatte uns Frau Dr. Pitout in einem Meeting live aus Südafrika über das »Royalty Project to prevent teenage pregnancies« berichtet.

Das Royalty-Projekt widmet sich dem Thema Gesundheit von Frauen, wobei es sich insbesondere auf die Verhütung von Teenagerschwangerschaften konzentriert und Teenager über ihre Rechte an ihrem eigenen Körper aufklärt. 

Jetzt konnte Freund Doerr unsere Spende über 1.000 € zur Unterstützung des Royalty Projects überbringen. Wir freuen uns über den Dank von Präsidentin Hester Visagie, den sie an unseren gesamten Club richtet:

Albrecht Dörr, a member of our Rotary Club in Paarl, presented us with a wonderful donation of 1,000 Euro, all the way from your Club in Germany, at our weekly meeting that was held yesterday.  We are so thankful for this generous donation.
Be assured that the funds will be well spent on the young generation in our valley, to sensitize and counsel them on pregnancy prevention and the danger of social media predators.
